The Training

Whether you have any experience in pumbing or not, the PlumbRite Plumbing and Gas franchise enables you to become a Gas Safe registered plumber, able to service, replace and install gas appliances.

The first part of the training begins with the City & Guilds 6129, a 6 to 10 week course in water based plumbing. This can be undertaken at our in-house approved training centre here in Exeter, or at an affiliated centre closer to you. If you are already qualified to this level, then you will not require this training and will be entitled to a discounted franchise fee.

The next part is BPEC water regulations and unvented systems training and qualification, which lasts just a few days.

The final stage starts with the domestic gas safety foundation training and qualification including the supervised building of your work portfolio and leads to the ACS initial assessment (CCN1) and appliances qualifications. At this stage you will be able to enrol on the gas safe register as a qualified gas engineer.
